On YouTube strut replacement vids, mech talks about Sachs being bolt on out of box with springs compressed already. The quicker easier choice for amateurs.
Some say Sachs ride is stiff, rigid?. I hear good things about Monroe, kyb, Holstein struts. I'll read customer comments when I change struts next month n update. Might go Monroe? Or double cylinder us home brand I saw on YouTube videos.
Difference between Sachs and OEM struts?

OEM original equipment manufacturer means Volvo German Bosch parts. Which are great. They have quiet metallic pads, struts, shocks, usually double price of aftermarket, but u can trust Bosch is not garbage, like 10yr life plus... Everything German is built amazing! Good thing I'm not Jewish, their not fans of WW2 Hitler's Germany.
