Around here (Marin Co. CA) I think there are more Teslas than Volvos. Almost all of the Volvos I see are XC90's, tho I'm starting to notice a few new V60 wagons.

Expanding on my earlier comment, the city of Elkhart IN has more millionaires per capita than any other city in the country. Has to do with being the center of the RV industry. Quite a bit of their supply chain are locally based companies. Nearby South Bend/Mishawaka/Granger mini metropolis has Notre Dame and a lot more people than you might ever think ride the train 80 miles to work in downtown Chicago (there's a commuter rail line with the end of the line at South Bend). Why there isn't a Volvo dealer in the neighborhood is sort of puzzling. The area is much more 'well to do' than a couple nearby city ADIs that do have dealers (Ft. Wayne, Kalamazoo).

Fairbanks lost it’s dealership a good 20 years ago.
The only one in the state still perseveres in Anchorage.
Surprisingly, the friendly folks at Ft Wainwright and
Eielson AFB churn through with some pretty cool rigs!
A lotta XC90’s, P2’s, even the occaisional V70 R.

Not to many P80’s or 700/900s around any more, but
still a few ever-dependable 240’s that just keep on rolling!

Well I haven't gone and counted, but the Annapolis MD area is very Volvo-fied. Here and New England are probably their best markets. Old Money New Englanders probably fight over rusty 240s.

Please count cars in between Volvo sightings and give back data here, maybe 10 data points and your locale

Raw Volvo counts aren't useful in this context

Pretty common in North Jersey, plus a bunch of dealerships. Kundert Volvo up in Bergen County,
Ramsey Volvo, Prestige in East Hanover, Smythe in Summit, Bridgewater Volvo, Volvo of Edison and Princeton Volvo. I doubt the furthest of those is more than 50 miles from me. Seems most popular models are S60s, Cross Countrys and the SUV models -- XC60s and older XC90s, although I see a few of the newer XC90s. Proximity to NYC and Philly and the highish salary jobs they throw off, make Volvo a competitive vehicle option around here. Plus, as noted, plentiful dealer support.

Counted 22 on my 44 mile commute to work this a.m. Some were parked and that doesn't count the one I was driving.

All XC70 moms are now XC90 moms. Soccer moms with Lexis & Infiniti, LR traded for XC90.
New soccer dads finding refuge driving Suburu Outback -- confused at best.
