I'd check the operating oil pressure again to to make sure it is low before opening anything up.
If you do open it up then checking the oil pump and removing some main caps to check the condition of the bearings might be a good idea while in there. Check all the 'o' rings are where they are supposed to be in case one fell out when replaced.
Man this must be so frustrating. Hope it turns out to be nothing major.
