Re: 2004 S60 First cold day of the year, no start issue.
Is that with the key in POS II ? Maybe faulty FPS ? If replacing it, very careful with the small torx screw, easy to strip - cold engine and release the pressure first Was the fuel pump replaced in the past ? How many miles on it ?

That is with the key in position II and I just put in a new FPS. After I cranked the motor over for a bit I pressed in on the Schrader valve on the fuel rail, no fuel came out. I also didn't hear the pump kicking on or off after the first time I tried to start the car when it fired and then idled down and shut off like in the video I posted previously.
I pulled codes that said
0100 communication between control modules. Communication problems with the engine control module ECM.
also 1A59 Communication with the audio module (AUM) signal missing.
I also noticed that the Solenoid SLT current was jumping around a bit and was reading 999mA but was going up and down a bit. The SLS current was 300mA and the SLU current was 200mA.

Went back out today it was 35F outside. Started up just like normal but got some error codes. It seems to be having issues communicating with the ABS-brake system module. I got a warning that said Anti-Skid service required. Not sure if this was because 2 tires were over 10psi low from sitting. I was testing the communication through the abs module, and it showed the left turn signal activating when I turned the right turn signal on and vice versa. I also noticed it was reading both front brake discs temperature 103.28F and the rear 32F. Fuel pressure was reading 55psi. I also noticed the ignition timing was advancing 9-11 degrees on cylinder 1.

Swapped coolant temp sensor and didn’t fix the issue. Tried starting with it unplugged the fans started running but still wouldn’t fire. Plugged sensor back in and the cooling fans kept running. So I pulled the negative lead off, now when I try and start it won’t turn over.....

Sorry, I just responded to a much earlier post in this thread and you have already installed a replacement ETA. Leaving my post below.
Do you have an update for us? What's happening now?

.Sorry for the delay in responding. You probably have already fixed this.
I bought an OKAY Motors ETA from Amazon in 2019. It is not currently available from them. The following from Geluoxi on Amazon is reasonable and has more good reviews than the others I found using the part number 30711554: https://www.amazon.com/Throttle-Body-VO ... 40&sr=8-16
I liked mine as it stated that it was contactless. The ads do not have much detail. I suspect they are contactless, too.
You will need to buy an ETA gasket (I had a thick phenoic one from IPD that I had not installed previously and used it). This is all working fine although I can't say I have seen any change in the engine performance, which ultimately is fine

Issue still remains, I did get it started in cold weather today. It took about 5-6 seconds of cranking the motor over. I’m going to replace the starter next. I’ve read wires can go bad and arch in cold weather.

Got back out today, put in a new key ring immobilizer and starter. The new starter seems to crank faster, hopefully this is the solution. If the issue still remains I’ll be sending the computer units in to get checked. Very rarely do I find a mechanical issue I can’t solve. This Volvo sure has me stumped though.

Went out and tried to start today 23F outside. Cranks faster with new starter but still does not fire. Fuel pressure was reading 0Psi at the rail. Pushed the schrader valve in and no fuel came out. I swear I fix one issue and another component seems to quit.
