My kids played and took lessons for 3 instruments each. They did not stay with it however and quit due to sports and other interests. Music sheets are just chicken scratches to me but I do find good music in all genres and was elected and given the title of Soul Man at the HS Senior Banquet. This definitely has soul whereas the other group has excellent talent, technique but unfortunately just repetition with flare but no soul. Don't take offense as I'm not a musician but going by ear and heart.

Another email from our Utilities to prepare for potential interruption due to inclement whether and Glen Campbell's Wichita Lineman came to mind. Led to an interview with Chris Isaak. Didn't know who the guy was so looked. A riff besides the guitar sound reminded me of something else? Took me half an hour going it over and over and... Well, not sure if there's anything obvious but Lily Was Here was on KBLX in the Bay Area in the late 80's.

nothing better than taking the wagon for a spin around the block playing my kanye CDs, or sometimes i pop in my FM transmitter for a bit of black sabbath, ZZ top, etc.
