I’m sure MVS forum members ages span generations. You jump in your Volvo for a road trip. What kind of music are you listening to ? Any favorite albums (cd’s) or concerts you attended ?

Almost exclusively classic rock or occasionally classical (the old composers). If had to chose one band it would be Pink Floyd.

I prefer 'Dark side of the Moon'. I have an original vinyl album with all the posters and stickers. I like The Who as well.

Although I don't listen to much music these days and the radio is quiet when driving I use to be one of those that drove around with very loud music. When the kid were young I told my boys that's boom boom music when someone drove by. I told them it's someone who is proud but really have an inferiority complex so they need and want people's attention
. Not really sure if I was that way. My Son love's his muffler delete on his C30 but for his own gratification and not to get attention. He tries not to blurb, blurb, blurb when in the neighborhood and also not around other cars. Perhaps like someone who just enjoys riding a fast horse in the wild.I digress, but as for music in the old days I use to listen to all genre except country and rap. I once played Handel's Messiah for months on end and borrowed the music sheets.
Back then I didn't buy many albums either but just recorded on cassettes one or two of the songs I like from the albums and listen to it in the car. Here is one.

Anyone remember "Tubular Bells" by Mike Oldfield? Mike did most of the album by himself at age 19. It was released in 1973. It gained wide attention after use in the movie "The Exorcist". Another bit of trivia from my 'misspent youth'.
