You can buy from a dealer at 80% of ask if you show up with that sweet green smell of cash.

Thats a nice stick shift S70 T5 at $3500. If you bought a $500 one, you would be in deeper to get to that condition.
At $3,500, it would probably be a great buy if it's up to date on maintenance. It looks like a really nice car.
The front and rear ride height looks like an AWD. At that age they usually have a sagging rear end.

It is sitting kinda high... maybe it has new quick struts, those tend to raise the front end a lot. Those things are awful... gave my cousin's V70 a gasser stance!
But the car looks level at least.

"Gasser"? Is that opposite of Ricer?
EDIT: Tires also look one size up in term of the Aspect To Width Ratio (50 to 55 Series)

That's really messy when it come to racing as you can't compare Apples to Apples.

The official class name was “Gas Coupe & Sedan” class, which was soon rounded off to just a Gasser class. A Gasser is (or was) basically a stock production type vehicle with a hopped-up engine. A stock car with a non-stock engine as it were. And the engine did not need to be the same brand as the car. For instance, an old Ford coupe with a later model Oldsmobile engine would fit right into a Gasser class.

Drag racing gets REALLY technical, I'm not too familiar with it. Great article there!

That is like the term Hot Rod. Hot Rod was original a poor boy's game. He could not afford a car so he would cobble one together from whatever parts he could get cheap or for free. The frame might be a Ford, the Cab might be a Plymouth, the nose clip might be a Cadillac, the engine might be REO. He would weld everything together to build a car.

The term Hot Rod referred to the Hot Welding Rods use to bring it all together.

Looks decent, but $3k for a "mechanic special" with a dying AW55 is pretty steep. It looks like it's been well maintained from that Carfax, though.

6 owners and a bump on the driver's side front bumper and a bump to the entire rear bumper. Potentially abused and lost value due to the accidents?
