Another 1000 km. This time a 500 km single way motorway hike to Norway with three guys in the car and three mountain bikes on the hitch. It's really noticeable how much harder the engine pulls before the car shifts down when the car is loaded and you reach a hill. Norway has quite a few hills so I had several occasions to test this. Even at just 80 kph and 1500 rpm it took quite a hill before the car shifted. Overtaking on the motorway was also more relaxed. Not as many kick downs and coffee spilling down shifts required. Averaged 8 l/100 km and 92 kph during the trip. Really decent considering the bikes out back.Rattnalle wrote: ↑28 Aug 2018, 14:31BSR. They're the big one over here for most car brands. A plug and play tune using their little OBD computer to load it myself.matthew1 wrote: ↑28 Aug 2018, 14:08Rattnalle, what brand/model ECU tune did you get?Rattnalle wrote: ↑23 Aug 2018, 04:00
Now it's in and there's a clear difference. They've made the throttle response a bit sharper which adds to the feeling I guess but when flooring it there's a very clear difference in power. Going for a longer drive this weekend but so far I'm very happy with the results![]()
Any further thoughts?
There's a clear difference when overtaking, especially when already at a decent speed say 80 kph. I'll do some driving with a well loaded car this weekend, should be even more noticeable then. I'll get back with some more thoughts in a few weeks I've put a couple thousand km on it.

In Sweden we actually usually use liters per Swedish mil most of the time. A Swedish mil is 10 km so it works out well when spoken "a litre per mil" compared to "ten liters per hundred kilometers".

Is that a practice across Scandinavia or just Sweden, Ratnalle?
Tak!

Not sure. Since we all use kilometers on road signs and other official stuff it's hard to tell when just traveling. You'd have to chat informally with the locals for that and there are too many other weird words going around when listen to someone speaking Norwegian for me to have taken notice of it

I put in a new charcoal cabin filter last night. Will it smell like a field of flowers now?
