Here's the All Other Brands Chat megathread. It's not mega yet , but I'll make it so by myself if necessary.
Its a simple and surprisingly reliable car. Started every day in the pouring rain in Seattle.
(Hey! There's a glimpse of the butt of my old 240T - miss that car)

If you missed it, do you know you really passed it, or was that merely a mathematical inference?

I'm past but didn't see it happen so I can't actually confirm I was at the 333333 mark.

I FINALLY installed an (iPd oval stainless steel) performance catback exhaust system on my S60 2.5T AWD.
I only drove it around the block, but so far it sounds great and makes my car noticeably peppier.

^^^ The XC is painfully quiet. It doesn't even have that distinct 5 cylinder burble my 850 has.

Yesterday I tried out the carpet foam in a can technique. Drying now. Previous owner's children may have spilled food, milk, mom's lattes between the seats. I found hair ties, valentines heart candies, crayons, and very old popcorn under there.....

Might try the baking soda idea after that.

What you need is a water vacuum cleaner and a lot of upholstery cleaner.

After doing the foam and scrub and let dry and vacuum, I've decided that maybe the slightly annoying smell was the PO using all this foam shampoo on the carpets! Its essentially the same smell. I left it open in the sun and vacuumed and vacuumed. It's better.

Did you vacuum the foam when wet and then rinse by spraying clean water and vacuuming again? They way you actually remove the dirt instead of just brushing it around..
