Around here you can buy steel wire panels for cattle that are about 5 feet tall. This will not stop deer from jumping over, but they can't reach over to eat. They come in 16 foot panels. They have enough flex you can make a loop standing up in the back of a pickup. This is what I used last year to keep deer out of my garden.

That stuff in the pic is similar, called hog panel. Tighter holes at the bottom so they can't stick their noses through. Like you said, you have to try to roll it and bounce on it to curve it. I think this is 4'x12'. Getting it on a Volvo roof was entertaining!

Any move is stressful indeed. Always amazed the times we had a professional mover they could predict time to pack, they were usually right and my time would have been 10x that.

2000 pounds of books.

Uhaul boxes are far superior to the crap at Lowe’s or HD

The small Uhaul box loads to 30-35 pounds of books, the perfect weight for ease of carrying and stress on box. You can stack 3 high, no higher. Mark delicate with an X on top so you don’t stack on top of them

The ready made closet boxes are excellent for ease of move, one per 2 feet of closet

If you can find a paint store that will save you the boxes, gallon paint cans come in boxes for four cans. These 'paint boxes' also very suitable for moving books. They hold about 20 lbs each. If you are feeling strong you can carry one under each arm. A Volvo wagon can carry about 20 of these boxes in as single layer.
My wife and I have moved hundreds of these boxes of books over the years. We would knock down the boxes for flat storage and tape them back together for reuse the next time.

+1
Folded seats and flatted cargo area with heavy duty trap, anchored at each four corners, would ease sliding in and out these boxes -- there is renewal in moving; can be joyful and refreshing.

Pull a UHAUL trailer to let the world know; YOUR ARE!
