Brake pedal is slowly going to the floor on the 855T with 320k miles and I only seem to have rear brakes atm.
No leaks so I am installing a master cylinder out of a 855 manual wagon.
The MC reservoir on the turbo has a spring and ball loose inside of it. I searched high and low and cannot find any reference to what it is for (or anything about them for that matter) so I am using the reservoir off the 855 manual donor.
They are the exact same Volvo 3546956 PN (it just has the clutch feed nipple opened up). I closed up the clutch feed nipple but can see no ball or spring inside of it at all. I am about to bleed the MC and proceed with the swap.

The threads don’t seal, the just tension the oring , which seals. Some no- seize will help next time.

Went to drive it to the junkyard today and it started misfiring like crazy. Took the E39 instead.
Now that I look at it again, the ETS light and CEL just popped on. Wonderful... gonna check that out when I feel like walking outside again. Heat index today is over 100 and humid as hell!

Changed the cabin air filter on “Wrinkles” (xc90) cleaned all the trash out of the air box before installing the new filter. New set of Denso spark plugs, and changed the brake fluid for the front brakes. Will do rear next week. Runs so much better and stops better now.

I replaced the differential fluid in my BMW. Almost two liters came out but 1.5 was enough to fill it up.

Slammed an exhaust cam seal replacement on Evita the S70 while deep cleaning the rug, done before 0900.

Took rest of day off.

Side by side comparison of the old and new AC compressors. Design changes include removal of the front lower driver side mount and deletion of a plug that seems to go nowhere.

Read up on VVT which you will have in the exhaust cam. You need the cam lock tool.

Hopefully, you won’t have to retime it 11 times like me before the Stupid was purged.
