What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

I'll check with Voluparts. He usually has a lot of used bits available. Nice to get it all back to snuff, then start on the paint correction. Ordered a Griot's random orbital - going to learn how to do that.

Cover for the plus terminal (this one is semi important), hinge cover for center arm rest, twist lock for cargo area side panel, twist locks for cargo tray etc.
ALL of these cars had center headrests in the rear by the way, that was not an option.

Replaced the 15 amp fuse for the two 12v outlets in the front part of the car. Man that thing was hard to get at. Four fuse boxes in the car and of course that one had to be the hardest to find!

Washed it. Probably about 10' km since last time. Tried a new spray sealant (Labocosmetica Beneficia) which seems to have worked as far as looks go. Durability remains to be seen.

THAT is a really nice looking P2 wagon, plus it's in my favorite color.

My experience with spray on sealers is that they don't last very long, that's why I use the wipe on stuff instead.
Which reminds me that both of mine are due for some detailing.

Thanks. It really does look nice despite age and milage, at least from a few feet away

These new ones do seem to hold up well though. The last one was Carpro HydrO2 and it kept both shine and beading properties up for a few months over summer. This one is supposedly slightly longer lasting. Lower parts of the doors wear off faster of course. Much longer lasting than the few times I've actually waxed a car the old fashioned way. Also longer lasting than Ultima Paint Guard Plus which I've tried a couple times as well.

Well worth checking out. Adding a bit extra a few times a year is no work since they're spray on wet, rinse off and then I just drive the car to dry it.
