Re: Created an mp3 input for SC-816......

Just starting with the first SC-816 comment, after two years of having my wires connected to the correct spots, (cassete 3 wire) I had a 3.0mm? male pin that connected to the input of my satilite radio docking station, worked great, NOW the dummie cassette wants to eject after it searches from one direction to the other, and finally just pops out! I tried the shimming with business cards, first one, than two, and finally three layers to make it think it wasn't a broken tape, then backwards (with a different stripped out cassette) to simulate the end of the tape was causing the tape switch directions, eventually ejecting? Confused, anyone that can help me with this, even a known good SC-816 with wires attached?
Thanks,

If you don't plan to use the tape player to play any tapes, most people cut the motor red wire. Put the tape in and the motor never turns and the tape stays in.

Grrrrrrrrr, I'm having issues with my phone volume being to loud. Sometimes I forget to turn the volume down when I plug it in and it's way to loud and distorted and when music pauses it pops my speakers. So far I have damaged about 3 speakers. JY speakers are cheap but I'm tired of blowing speakers.

I am going to try to add the resistor in line and see what happens. Does anyone have a recommendation? I think I'm going to add one 20 kohms to each channel and see if that does the trick. Any imput would be appreciated.
