My recent project was to get my updated wheels and new tires on my car. I kept the traditional Columbia rims and had a set powder coated by an outfit that focuses on doing more delicate high end bike frames. They touched up the dings and curb encounters. They are a pleasure to wash. Smooth, unmarred surfaces right to the interior edges. Some might pay to have such an experience or to at least watch. A very clean look compared to my original set. If I get a-washed in funds I'll mount true snow tires on my beat up set of Columbia's.

Nice trim, Rob. :)

I've been lazy this weekend.

I changed my wipers, installed the IPD wiper relay (which is AWESOME), and the turn signal and INFO switches from someone parting out his car.

TOOOOOOO

Stupid dumb people hitting my car

At some point I'll be getting either E-code lenses or C70 lights for it.

After scrutinizing the schematic for the bulb failure sensor circuit, checking all the relevant bulbs and cleaning the contacts on the headlight connectors and bulb connectors, I just now came to the triumphant conclusion that the idiot light in question is not the bulb failure warning but the rear fog light power-on reminder. I need a "this is not an idiot light" idiot light.

No, I'm far too lazy to do that. I just finally got the part from someone over on VS that was parting out a V70.

LOL good job! I remember wondering what the heck that switch thing did when I first got mine.

Lol, Its bumper restore, Ill grab a photo of it for you today when I paint the front bumper, because honestly, I cant even remember the name.

So after relocating the switch that controls my headlight LED strips, I realized that I can no longer see it to determine if it is on or not after a long drive... so now I am going to wire in a led that will tell me if it is on or not.

perhaps get a bit more complicated and create a spot in the dash warning lights, that is not used, and make a custom warning indicator.

moved switch from dash, to the back of the center console by the ash tray.

Today, I:

-Replaced my ignition switch, one of the easiest things I have done.

-Discovered the shifter still wasn't working, and adjusted the brake switch. It works every time now!

-Yanked the door chime

-Messed with the wastegate actuator arm. Turned it 2 turns the wrong way the first time (which I discovered from advice from Phil as soon as I went for a drive), my car was as slow as a snail with my foot smashed to the floor. Corrected that mostly, it feels a little faster now off the line. gonna do 1 more turn tomorrow when the engine cools down again.

-Bought some vacuum line with the intention to replace the ones on my new turbo control valve, then decided against it and went running.

Blower was rubbing a bit on the housing, so I had to pull it and hammer the shaft back out a bit.

Also a little tool-making in preparation for a tranny-drop and RMS replacement in a few weeks.

That's about $20 in parts including the wood (I already had the carabiners).

What point on the tranny side of the engine do you hook to--the eye on the torque bar bracket (like I've done in the picture)?
