Yes, e-code lamps do take H1's. Where did you source those from?

A little less than $100 for the pair.

New, Hella? I looked into purchasing them myself, but they were more like $400/each. Care to share your source?

In the interim, I'm in the process of installing these. With the long days of summer I've been letting the project slide, but I'll have them in by fall. :D

FWIW, it does look like the mounting for the bulb is much more robust than what we have in the US assembly - which is a thin piece of aluminum, with the base of the bulb resting directly on the back of the plastic reflector.

Those are very nice looking E-codes, sir!
Interesting to hear that they handle 100 watters well.
Have you increased conductor size? Just curious.
And a little jealous... Those are sweet. ;)

No, all the wiring is stock. its more than up to the task. I think I upped the headlight fuses though if I remember correctly.

Used from German Ebay. The lenses were almost brand new. I had a buddy in Germany bring them home with him so didn't have to worry about shipping.

Yeah, I've looked into german ebay too, but it's always difficult to determine quality from the photos, and shipping is killer - even if they are willing. You know who to PM if you ever need to get rid of those. :)

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you might consider relay isolating
those lamps with their own, seperately fused power from the battery and
putting correct size fuses back into the stock fuse locations.
( As a rule, upping fuses seldom leads to anything good... )
Your headlight High/Low beam module would probably appreciate it.
Although your BOW light might get confused if you've got'em in the Low Beams.

Again, Nice fixtures! 8)
