That happened on my 740 and I removed it and shook the pieces out and rammed a bar in to break up the big piece and put it back on. It ran fine after that. On the 850 there is so much pipe on either end it's hard to get into it.

It is possible with a bunch of short extensions and U-Joints on a 1/2" drive socket set. You sorta have to build a 'snake' out of the socket parts that comes to 40 cm's or so long and you can then feed it into the cat from the engine end and tap it with a hammer! :)

Once you get through the middle, hopefully the rest will break up and come out with a few hammer taps to the casing. Oh, take the O2 sensor OFF before you try this, lol!
