- There is a universal rule in car repair, whenever a new problem surfaces after a repair job, 99% of the time, the new problem is caused by the repair.
- Your car is 1997 850 with 35K, trans problems should not happen.
- The 850, S/V70: for a simple drain/refill, it takes about 3.3 qts to fill it back up.
- If you do a flush (disconnecting the upper cooler line), there is a chance that the clip was not reconnected properly. The clip has a THICK side and THIN side (look carefully and you will see). The THICK side of the clip faces the radiator.
- My car has about 115K, transmission was replaced 35K ago, I do not know if it was rebuilt or used unfortunately. But, before replacing fluid, it was giving me no problem.
- I did not do a flush, just drain a refill several times.
- I do not see any cooler line from the transmission, all I see is a line connecting the top of the radiator to the bottom.
