It's Easter weekend, but I could probably work out some time. With all our knowledge it shouldn't take more than a month or two. :o .
Well not really.. Just see if you want to do it and get all the parts. Read over Justin's thread on it and make sure it's something you think you can do, with some or all of our help.
i forgot about easter weekend. I own a farm so have alot of tools. If the kit comes in before next weekend its great. I'm thinking about doing a PCV cleaning and bought a rebuild kit. If you'd like, I can buy you lunch, thats the least I can do.

btw...........i'm like 2 miles off of hwy 64.

Check his thread and see what other parts you will need. Intake gasket should be replaced. If none of the old hoses break, it's just pull apart, clean and replace. It would be good to check out the PTC also.
I think that is what that hard to get to part is called. It can be removed and cleaned, using a little silicone to put back together. Rear cam seals aren't to hard, front ones can be a problem. Let me know what day you are thinking and we'll see what can work out.

He's getting a new kit, it will include the intake gasket.

Make sure you request ALL OEM hoses, Volvo only. If you get the cheap URO crap, you will need to redo the job again sooner than later. See this video:

I had to replace the gaskets under those plates on the back of the motor on our S70 GLT. They are paperish and cost about $7 at the steeper.

Hello, I have just got my 1998 v70 back from the garage for headgasket, timing belt etc. I've also noticed quite some oil on the top of the engine. Cleaned up the top with shop towels and after a short (5km) test drive I've got quite a pool of oil that's come up through that hole! There's definitely oil in the port between cylinders 2 and 3 hasn't squirted out of the PCV. Given the comments in this thread does this imply that the two halves of the head were improperly sealed?
