So I have driven the car a couple of times now. Got up to operating temperature, the whole nine yards. Drives fine and everything. I just got home and tried again, the first time I started it up, it cranked for about 3-4 seconds before it started. I turned it off after I pulled it out of the garage and back on and no issues. No idea what that was about, but it seems to run okay now. I am still possibly going to try and do emissions in the morning, so fingers crossed.
Also, the person I bought the solenoid from is sending me another. Odd someone has more than one, but hey, if they have a replacement, I am glad they are going to swap out for the one that is not working right.

Woo Hoo!!! Passed emissions yesterday!! I drove the car like a grandma out to the testing facility, said a few prayers while it was being tested, and it passed. I drove the car a little harder to see if I could get the CEL to come one and it was good all day yesterday. It did come on just a few minutes ago though. Same P1332. I will have that replacement to the replacement solenoid coming anyday, so I will get that one as soon as it arrives to see if it is the fix.
I also took care of most of the exhaust leak. What is strange is it was leaking around where the downpipe connects to the turbo. Between the flange and the pipe itself. It looks like someone welded it a bit on the top to stop a leak a while back, but about 80% was unwelded. It doesn't leak from everywhere, just a few spots. I was able to weld around roughly 90%, but there is a part that I cannot get to without taking the pipe out. So now I have to wait until I can get to a lift or a pit to remove the DP and weld the whole thing up. Oh well, it is much better. You can still hear the leak a little, but it is substantially better. Welding that up is a hundred times easier that redoing the manifold gaskets.

Another quick update. I blew the expansion tank hose on Monday, so I was able to retrofit a generic hose on to get home. It is working so far. The replacement solenoid is waiting to be cleaned and put on. Right now I have the car hoisted way up so I could get the downpipe off to clean up the welds and leaks.
There were some good sized holes from the previous weld job, so it looks like it has leaked for a while. I have it all welded up right now, I just have to finish grinding tonight, then I will add some header wrap to help with the heat, and some specific coating to go over the header wrap and then it will go back on this evening if all goes well. The downpipe was a blast to get out of the car, let me tell you, haha. People were not joking about that. Once I have the downpipe back on, I should be driving it again, and all that is left is a couple of drain and fills on the transmission just for peace of mind. Don't know last time it was done.
