Small turbos = quick power low in the RPM band, fast spool, little lag
Large turbos = more hp higher in the RPM band, slow spool, lag

Since the auto industry started turbocharging everything on 4 wheels about 10 years ago, most new non-performance cars have small turbos. They're easier to live with and give what 90% of drivers want.

I run my car out to redline too often, hahaha. The LPT really doesn't have any power up there though, so there really isn't a need to rev it up there.
A tune would definitely help, lots of members on here have claimed a tuned LPT to be more fun than a stock HPT! Mainly because it has a lot more low and mid range pickup compared to the stock T5, which is mainly high end.

Just get a P2 2.5T. Full torque from 1500 rpm and a very nice pull from about 3000 rpm. Does make a wonderful sound between 4000 and 6000 rpm though ;-)

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Just biding my time searching for a fully loaded 07 v70 2.5T... 06-07 v70s in general are very few and far between around here, except in XC form.

I think I have decided it needs to have graphite interior, but I'm torn on the exterior color. I don't want silver, black, red, or white. A nice metallic burned orange or forest green would be nice. I also really like the Barents blue. Everything around here is white, silver, or...... champagne.

This one is tan, but looks like a sweet deal. Any thoughts? What should I look for in one that is actually 'fully loaded'?

Xenon headlights, cargo metal grille and premium sound for starters.

I kinda like the - 04s though. Proper headlight wipers that actually gets the salty winter slush off.

In Oregon, every Volvo I have ever seen that has not been restored, the headlight wipers are broken and dried out :P Not much use for them here. I could find one a lot quicker if I wasn't set on an 07. It just seems like they have more features, I believe DSTC is standard in that model year. Plus TPMS, an optional auto dimming rear view, and more comfy seats than the pre facelift if what I have read is to be believed.

Do you happen to know what 'premium sound' looks like? Is that the HU 850?

I've been considering one lately, actually. They're pretty cheap around here too.

850, different door panels with dual speakers up front and the sub in the boot.

I've heard the seats got worse as time went by, different tastes perhaps.

Seat comfort is all opinion. I've heard people who hate Saab seats but love Volvo seats. I like Volvo seats, but the absolute BEST seats I've ever sat in were in my '04 9-5 Aero. Those seats were wonderful. Great support, soft, and they held you well when cornering too fast. And the strange headrests were perfectly positioned for my neck.
