Watch the rating on your crane, Alex. You are over 1/4 ton with that combo. I had to sleeve mine after an ‘ incident’
Yeah, it's probably a bit over the capacity. I'll have to see what I can do to reinforce the crane, because there's no way in hell it will clear the bumper on any higher setting.

You can probably find some square steel tubing that size and weld it on to extend the snout a bit. That's kinda scary.

It would just have to be able to handle additional weight.

Put the square tubing inside the existing one. I found a standard size that fit in and welded it to pull shrubs from the house.

That made the tool 'Gardening Appliance' which meant it goes on her budget instead of mine.

I found really cheap chrome turn signal bulbs. They blink white instead of orange 💀

Good thinking! Now you need to experiment with other expensive tools around the yard.

Am I wrong to be confused, that an aluminum block and transmission are over 500 lbs? Are are you pulling up too hard when it gets hung up on something?

It actually barely got hung up coming out, which is rare! But yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I think it's probably around 500-600 pounds, because there's also an angle gear still bolted to the transmission. The engine probably weighs around 300-350, then the transmission is probably another 150ish, then the angle gear is 50-75 at the most.
