On the Engine flush and oil change; I swear the car runs smoother. Ceratech ceramic treatment added. I religiously change oil at 5,000 miles and love turbos. Will update. I have maintained, not owned , this car for 4 years and it seems to eat oil; might need rings and bearings (not unreasonable in a 170,000 mile turbo motor). I was impressed enough to do a flush and change over on the Wife's Hyundai.

My 340' km 2.5T uses at most half a liter or so per 10'km between oil changes, depending on driving pattern. So it does sound like something is drinking more oil than it should in yours. How's the PCV?

Well if you must know...I replaced the 2 front struts with a pair of quick struts from 1aauto.com..i guess I can say that. Then I replaced the passenger side axle. 2002 V 70 by the way. I'm going to replace all the lower motor mounts this weekend when the parts come in from Rock Auto...got more stuff planned but I won't bore you with the details right now. MDK

Put new spark plugs in my 2002 V70 XC last night. They were original with 99,000 miles on them. I think they were a bit over due...

Did a diy video replacing the small bushing on the control arm. This is controversial, but I know there are still people out there who want to try this way, instead of just replacing the hole control arm

My 2004 XC70 was having issue with brake booster/brake pedal sensor. About 2 years ago I replaced this sensor with a "Pro Parts Sweden" brake pedal sensor. The PPS worked but obviously failed in less than 2 years because of the silicone they used on the bottom was crumbling off. This time I purchased the original equipment from "ATE", ATE is what this car came with from the factory factory. FCPEURO.COM has a lifetime warranty on everything they sell, so I'm good for life of this vehicle.

What I find happening is that I order a batch of parts - all together for shipping savings, they're not all part of one project. I put the ones that aren't critical right now on a shelf / on the tool box / in the glove box / in the back of the wagon / in the wrong car / in my office / on the floor of the garage..........and damn if a couple months later I can't find those parts to save my life.
