Recently celebrated my 300k km in my V70xc... even at around 130 mhp it still wanted to keep going!
I was driving in Germany by coincidence... so going fast is legal!

Nice..what's the fuel consumption like at that speed?

My turbo really likes 100kph, the mileage shoots up when the turbo is idle

Fuel consumption is not great haha.
The in laws live in Germany so I get to drive back and forth every once in a while. Usually consume about 150 liters in 1400 or so km. This includes both high speed driving on the German autobahn (usually short stretches before there is a speed limit again) as well as longer stretches that have the regular 120 or 130 kph speed limit.

I think that it could get up to 225 kph tops, but traffic did not allow for it. Up till 205 it is nice and comfy, 215 already feels much more shaky and wobbly.

Mine is shaky and wobbly at 70 mph. 100 is terrifying. I REALLY need a wheel balance... and subframe bushings.

Did tranny drain and fill number two out of three. Haven't felt any improvements in shifting but it was shifting well before, just preventative maintenance.

Also found a local car I might pickup for parts. It's also a 99 v70r. Waiting on a minor but important part to arrive from the UK recently has made me realize just how valuable a bunch of parts on hand could be. Plus it has a bunch of parts the owner says are in working order that I need currently.

We'll see, but I've got an empty basement that might as well be full of car parts and leaving it in the driveway until next fall while I tear everything apart wouldn't be too bad, the neighbor next to my driveway is already annoyed by my constant car tinkering anyway, might as well push him over the edge

As a car enthusaist, there's nothing more fun than ticking off neighbors who are for some reason annoyed by us working on our cars!

Had a neighbor like that, got tired of it. So I walked over looked at his garden, looked him in the eye and ask "Can't afford a grocery store?" ... he STFU after that.
