When I saw the S70 engine pictures, I recoiled in horror. It looks like the plastic spark plug cover is deformed or melted from overheating. The word "Volvo" looks warped and the bolts are oddly exposed, not in their little recesses. What do you think? Is this a different cover without the bolt recesses?

As I have observed elsewhere here, people normally don't give away good cars.

This is more typical of cars on offer at Capital.
'00 V70 NA, 250k shown, auction notes state it's a donation, and "Starts".

That still means driving it home is not a likely proposition. Home field always has the advantage.
Capital offers limited-area delivery for a fee.

It's sad to see that V70 with such bad paint work and pounds of dog hair on the interior. I wonder if that paint could be saved with careful cleaning. "Hard to steer" may be the discontinued rusted steering universal joint at best. Engine bay and underside look decent, with a seemingly newer coolant tank. I bet it could run but would look terrible. It's sad how these things can run forever but it's everything else which kills them.

I'm a little baffled by the black plastic cover on the fuel rail. I've had three 2000 V70s and none had that. That piece of metal gets so yellowed and ugly (some weird coating) that I kind of want the cover.

It looks like the same plastic cover used on 2001. I think I have an old one, but the mounting holes are funky. You want it?

On the list for 10/14. Notes say total loss - before all this happened to it.
In the Aviation World the comment about slapping a tag on this one and driving it home would predict "a successful outcome is unlikely."
They will send 625 lots across the block Saturday alone; they always have 2500-3500 cars in inventory. Finding a nugget takes extreme luck and a firm grip on reality.

This one has been in inventory for months, and has been mentioned several times on the forum; on the list today in MD.

Paperwork may have been the holdup, but as I have mentioned there is no simple answer for how long cars sit in storage at Capital.
Dealers and scrappers only, no title.
I predict a recycler breaks this one up - if it sells at all.

While I find them attractive, it would never occur to me to own one...

The shifter erupts from the center of the dash where the radio should be.
$2k already - but with 500 bid increment - plus added fees, plus being in Philly...
