Following surgery I will have Yetrude’s remains towed to my home for striping.
The high milage engine will be scrapped with my mechanic - but I will have him strip some low milage parts all recently replaced according to service records:
Front Oxygen Sensor
Water Pump
ignition coils

I will also have him strip off additional bolt on’s like:
power steering compressor
alternator
a/c compressor including both suction and discharge hoses
coolant pipes
ETM / throttle body

Any additional easy to grab (I am paying labor) that anyone thinks I am missing?

Variable Valve Timing solenoids - if it has that feature, I'm always behind the data on where and when that happened.
Mounts if the're on the motor and don't look too crusty.
When the driveshaft center bearing support plate is removed during the swap don't let that get away, they are NLA from Volvo, and for some reason are prone to rusting in half - ask how I know.

CVVT solenoids started in 1999 MY. For turbo engines it was only on the exhaust side. NA motors only on the inlet.

Engines are both out and Yetrude’s body was towed home on Monday the 1st. I am working out of town for the next few weeks so my house mate got her positioned in the back yard for dismantling.

Frankentrude should be done at the mechanics sometime the week after the 4th of July...hopefully - turns out the sleeve that covers the connection between the motor and trans will need to be replaced - neither the original or donor ones survived the decouplings. The part has to be ordered from Volvo and progress will be dependent on shipping time. I had a feeling things would go slower than expected...because in my experience they generally do in all parts of life! I am glad I didn't wait to get things started at the shop before I came back to town. :D

This week Yetrude's engine will be installed!
The big news is that the gig I have been doing out of state has turned into a permeant job! This is fantastic as it means I can return home for good and actually live in the same home as my wife for the first time in 3 years!
However it also complicates things. I will only have 3-4 days to strip Yetrudes body of salvageable items. I will focus first on the interior to be swapped into Frankentrude, then gab whatever else I have time for. Lights and lenses I will take. I think I should definitely grab the OSP Nivos and springs since Frankentrude's were swapped with a standard shock kit. Also focusing on as much of the AWD system as possible.
However I definitely won't have time or space for the transmission which has its original 95K on it. The tires are actually pretty new and I might keep one as a spare instead of the undersized donut.
I am offering up the rest of her to anyone from the group who would like it for free as long as you tow her away by July 25th.

Maybe post in Classifieds as well, and although I don't participate, there may be a local Volvo group on Facebook. Beware the Loonies.

Progress!! Took me about 6 hours to pull a majority of the interior - being super careful and have had only a couple of brittle plastic breaks. Seats were pretty painless until I got to the back upper sections. Thanks to our pal DIY Robert and his YouTube channel I was able to get the clips out of both but I am having a heck of a time getting the larger section to pop up and out. Suggestions welcome!

Getting an early start tomorrow to beat the heat. Contemplating attempting pulling the dash - even if I don't swap out my tan one in Frankentrude it seems a shame to let any pristine part of the immaculate interior go to the scrapyard.
