Mecheng, I had the same issue you did reaching the torx bolt. In fact I stripped the torx head, much to my dismay. Basically, you have to remove the housing from the engine and then undo the torx bolt that holds the lines in. Even with universals, etc. I couldn't reach that damn bolt but it was easy once you removed the oil thermostat housing.

i'm going to buy a 1/4" uv joint, my 3/8" didn't fit and an allen key torx, hopefully it works

OK I got the 10mm bracket bolt out with the 1/4" uv joint.


For the torx 30, do I have to remove the thermostat? I tried with an Alex torx from underneath and threw the wheel well to no avail.... I'd rather not remove the thermostat
