I wiped down my cams and lifters and put them in a plastic case after a quick spraydown of deep creep. Unlike Robert this was almost a 14 day job for me, a noob working evenings. No rust. I wiped them all with a rag w 30w and a bit of moly grease on the cam guides at reassembly.
