Similar topic but I summarized all the causes of fuel leak in one thread.
See the post from 27 Nov 2013, it has all the links you need.
Take your time to go through these links.

PS: I don't know where Hella is made (? China), but the Bosch 69693 is factory OEM: you just have to gently remove the black casing from the Bosch 69693.

However, people have to pry at the CORRECT place. This thread below has all the photos you need.
A pair of right-angle pliers is a life-saver:

So, let's say that one of these plastic couplers broke off.
I'm hoping that there is a simple solution, wishful thinking?
Read that thread, so there is a release what do you know.
Just what I was thinking when I pulled them off there should
be a release, should be a lot easier next time.
There should be a $5 tool, it doesn't look like those pliers fit too well
but I'm sure that they do the job.

A trim removal tool works great when you need to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel pump.
An example of the the trim removal tool:

Can I just use a brass barbed coupler to add some hose and clamp it onto the fuel pump?
I understand that you can't buy the snap on coupler on its own:

It sounds doable if the coupler doesn't stick up above the cover plate level. You need that cover plate to keep exhaust and fuel fumes from getting into the car's interior. Keep us informed. We're pulling for you.

Thanks dosbricks!
I think that the hose coming straight up would hit that plate and end up kinked.
You can buy the connector on ebay, and the add says that you can buy it from Volvo:

I bought one.
I might try both ways.
Anyone know the ID of the fuel line? I'm guessing 1/4" or 3mm?
