Flooring it in heavy traffic is pointless but I enjoy it when there's room for it. The car has also been driven pretty much flat out on the autobahn two summers in a row now..

June: The T6 engine is a pure Power By Volvo-affair designed along with the rest of the S80 before Ford got their fingers in there. But it's very un-Swedish to brag so they'd never have though of putting that kind of slogan on there.

I was joking around with my advisor when I used to say that. The unpretentious, premium car with the emphasis on safety is Volvo in my eyes. I'm not thrilled with the Chinese owning Volvo but so far things are way better than Ford owning them. I kinda wish Sweeden had bought the company.

I would like the 90s back as far as Volvos go. My favorite still is my 98 S90 Executive four seater. It just needed the T6, AIR CURTAINS, and WIPPS to make it the perfect car. It by far had the best ride and handling, not to mention the premium stereo was also better. June

Update on the C70. Down visiting my daughter to find the C70 with a smashed skid plate and the right axle ready to fall out! Also a scratch ahead of the right rear wheel. She is not admitting to what happened to this car. $3,700 later all is fixed but the scrape. I am a bit disappointed in her trying to hide the damage rather than just having it fixed. Teenage girls!!!

I forgot to hold the phone sideways when I took these photo so they will be sideways. Sorry in advance. She was happy to have the car back, though I blotted her face out for her protection she is smiling big! She is getting excellent grades so I let her off easy. June

You can’t cover up the look of “I have an awesome Mom”

I’m blessed that I got all mine through with no car drama other than one small off roading incident

You're sweet! I think this C70 had a off road event... the skid plate was half ripped off dragging the ground and the passenger side axle had been damaged as well as the passenger side of the car. My ding-a-ling daughter was still driving it though the front of the car was jumping up and down from the axle and the horrendous noise of the skid plate scraping the ground... I drove it 100 feet and decided the car was unsafe to drive and had it towed.

I had her follow me from the dealer across the bay to my sister's house and she passed me on US 19! In the rain no less. I couldn't help myself but think of that saying "The apple does not fall far from the tree." 8) and Abscate would be proud I clearly was driving slower these days
Maybe I'm slowing down from old age and don't realize it. ! June

You buy a recent, low mileage C70 for your daughter.
The poor kid endures circumstances such that a front corner of the car gets smashed-up.
You show up and fix it.

Would you adopt me please?

She was just mashing the body of an ill-behaved young gentleman into the ground before disposal. That damage is acceptable wear and tear.

Mine pull the arms and legs off first, so that you can use a small contractors black bag for the rest.
