Grunhilde turned the corner of recovery today

New timing belt, tensioner, idler, AISIN water pump

Dropped a battery in her, fired her up and she purrs like a kitten. No codes.

I got the right knuckle off and will replace with parts car.

She will be driveable then.

With 28 seconds of propane heat, each bleeder screw yielded and then gave fairly clean brake fluid up. Front calipers are free and sliding.


We will get rotors turned at NAPA and get the stoppers stopping.

Bypassed heater core, filled up cooling group and leak tested, none found

Two gallons fresh gas. Cycled through two cooling fan cycles, all normal

Final assembly list

Right knuckle strut
Left strut
Rotors turned
Passenger side axle boot broken



Brakes bled
Serp belt
Fuel drip at rear filter?
Heater core
Ps rack, try to release lines
Tighten cooling group clamps
Coolant mix
Reinstall alternator and test
Battery eval
Empty Nester

Dumped ps fluid on road, other than that , not too bad.

Have to get cooling group set so I can protect motor from freezing

Hummmmmmmmmmmmm .....smooth as silk

I did snap the end of the exhaust cam off though....no foul.
