You can ship these through Canada if you need to but not sure what the actual saving would be once shipped to US (55 Euro v's 125 Euro).

Was it established that shipping to Canada is much cheaper than shipping to the USA for skandix? If so I might be able to provide shipping service, as I could receive it then ship it from Detroit when I’m over there.

That would be awesome. We save another18% VAT if we ship direct to Canada

Going to be placing another order on Skandix so, anyone welcome to join in. We will order to Germany and then personal ship to US to keep shipping down to $50 or so

Small light items ok, ask about bigger stuff

I will check with the 850 owner and prices on Skandix for the parts we need. Problem for me is that now with the shipping (less to Canada than to US from Skandix) but with import charges and border tax it often ends up being more than buying OE parts from on-line Volvo dealers with free shipping over $100.

I'll let you know in a couple of days once I have a confirmed list of parts.

Had a quick look at some of the parts we will need. Only issue is that they don't list the aftermarket suppliers on some what I call critical parts:

Example:

1) Crank pully engine pad/mount - Part # 8631698 - Volvo supplier in Canada $200 CDN - Skandix $45 - No supplier listed.
2) Parking brake cable - Part # 3546664 - Volvo on-line supplier in Canada $ 132 CDN - Skandix $50 - No supplier listed

Rock Auto and FCP show a different part number for the PB cable - 9209756. On Volvo websites this is listed for FWD V/S70's but not for 850's but both Rock Auto and FCP show as suitable for 850? Part made by Viaco. Anyone used these? Rock Auto list for $45 Cdn.

I have had bad issues with aftermarket parts on both these and Skandix don't offer the OE parts. Has anyone used these parts from Skandix and do they know the brands and are they good?

I've been looking at the P2 windshield trims left and right (#'s 1079110 and 1079108)
They list them at 98.47E each with the 19% VAT included. ($105.50 US) That should be 82.75E without the VAT by shipping to the US ($88.60) as I understand their policy page.

What's the advantage of the group buy?

Is it shipping?

From their shipping page: Would I pay 125 E to ship two little pieces of stainless? 31kg = 68 lbs.
