Very cool. Thanks for the link, too. I had imagined that I would customize my headliner with a cool tartan or space-themed fabric, but it probably makes more sense to use material intended for that use instead.

Didn't know there was so much room in the headliner cavity. Not sure if this is too thick or there is another Rockwool Board that is thinner but I used this in the Batt rather than Board to cover the rafters in the ceiling of a two car garage about 4 years ago and it made a tremendous difference in temp in the summer and winter.brunocerous wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 09:07That looks fantastic! I had opted to keep the 'industrial' look of having no headliner and just bare metal, which the kids noted gets REALLY hot on warm sunny days, but now I'm curious about finishing this job.bmdubya1198 wrote: ↑05 Apr 2021, 20:41 Reinstalled my headliner after reupholstering it yesterday. What a pain! It looks worlds better now, and it's nice to not have it flapping around and raining foam on me.
What did you look for in searching for replacement cloth?
How did you manage to get the visor clips in/out without breaking them? Mine now rattle because I damaged them while removing them.

Not cheap but much better in terms of health than fiberglass. Also the noise reduction is exceptional.

That's awesome!! Did you use fabric (flannel?) alone, with padding, or did you incorporate it with an actual headliner?Chuck W wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 20:45Why be boring?brunocerous wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 11:56 Very cool. The fabric wasn't exactly flannel, as it had a little stretch to it. She picked it up at JoAnn's, I think.brunocerous wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 16:32 That's awesome!! Did you use fabric (flannel?) alone, with padding, or did you incorporate it with an actual headliner?
It was fairly thick, and I didn't bother with any foam, as that's what normally fails anyway, not the material.
We just cleaned the backer board and installed the new stuff on it.
We even did the door cards.

That's a great pattern and color!
Today, I managed to drop my fuel tank in about 30 minutes or so to assess the filler neck and the leaky hoses on top (Thanks, Abscate! viewtopic.php?p=525543 ) but now am wrestling with the straps to get it back up. Back to the grindstone!

While I had the fuel tank dropped, I changed the leaky gasket between the filler neck and the tank. I’m hoping that takes care of the dribble of fuel from now on.
Also, is it me, or is there a hose missing on the right side of the fuel pump cap?
This is what I saw when I opened the access compartment today.
