Nope, that’s just a vent.

At least I’m pretty sure it is... it does look like there is a piece of hose on it for some reason.

Rolled Shaggkira to Bridgeport to take the ferry to see MRS Abscate working in NY.

Drained my new catch can system that replaced the stock PCV system. I could not believe the nasty smelly crap that drained out, along with a little bit of water. To think that all nastiness would be recirculated back through the turbo, pipes, intercooler, throttle body, intake, valves, etc before going out the tail pipe is a bit goofy, and probably not particularly good for the engine. I'm just pouring it my recycle jug with all the other old oil and calling it good. I'm not sure which way is better for the environment in balance though, but I think it's close. Would probably have to figure in the carbon footprint for replacement engine or parts due to premature wear from burning all that crap.
It does look like I will be draining out apx 1 qt of oil ( 2oz per 400-500 miles ) between every oil change ( 5-6K ) with this system, but that is probably do to some internal issues with the engine causing a bit more blow-by than normal. But I do like the simplicity of it all.
