Re: What is everyone's average mpg?
I calculated 26.3 on my last tank, and 27.5 on the tank before that. I live in a rural setting, so my mileage is affected by how many errands I run in the car, in town in between fill-ups, and whether I drove over Loveland pass, or Vail pass on my excursions.

I average right around 20.1-22mpg in my 2000 V70XC with a 2.4T. I am running it on 89 (Plus) and do mostly highway driving but also carry a lot of tools and occasionally bikes/kayaks etc. I bought it with 165k in May and have 174K on it now. I drove it to NY last week and got around 22, but usually as my daily driver, 21mpg....

In the city (lots of slooow traffic) my '02 S60 N/A automatic makes 24.5 mpg wintertime (as much as it applies to Atlanta) and 24.3 mpg summertime. On long hwy trips (out of state) it goes over 33 mpg steady. I can easily improve the city efficiency when I stay on a more relaxed driving pattern, but this is an issue here in my City even for a patient person like me
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.

Yesterday and today:
15 mile freeway trip in cool evening from on ramp to off ramp with one long grade averaging 60+ MPH = 33.2 MPG
Same 15 miles 70 - 75 MPH plus 6 miles of heavy stop and go traffic in 75 degrees weather = 22 MPG
Could probably average 26 MPG @ 75 MPH without too many grades. AMAZING CARS.
Blessings,
BKM
