MAF to Turbo snorkel is a 1999-2000 only part

Chalk up another for the bastards...its a 1999-2000 only part 9445351

I have one in my parts stash.

Just added Evita to my fleet. She is a 1999 NA S70 in black, with the B5244S NA engine, with no CVVT on either intake or exhaust.
She currently is seized on cylinder 5 so it will be either a recovery or an engine swap

Written here to document CVVT status - it creeps into the line as intake CVVT in year 2000 in NA models, exhaust CVVT in year 1999 in Turbo models

I believe there is a VIN split midway through '99 for NA cars. It's probably in a thread buried in the VS archives. I know a few people on this forum have mentioned they have a '99 NA with intake VVT, but it seems the vast majority of 1999s do not have VVT.

1999 key fobs

1999 and 2000 use the same FOB as the 1998, Volvo part number 9166200

BUT....

You can't get a used FOB off eBay and program it into a 1999. You need the code that comes with the FOB and VIDA to code the Fob to the car antenna. This allows you to open the doors, not start the car. To start the car, you need a key coded to the immobilizer correctly - also in VIDA.

DONT BUY A 9166200 FOB on eBay and expect to make it work on a 1999 or 2000.

Power steering pump pulley changed to part number (no part number in Lsle , NLA?)

You no longer need Lisle 390000 tool to get pulley off, you unbolt three M8 12mm socket size bolts working through holes in pulley front.

MY 99 and 00 S70s can use an antenna from an MY 98 but you have to use some parts from your 99/00 on the 98 antenna.

You may have to swap over:
a) drainage tube: tube on MY 99/00 are longer
b) antenna mounting bracket. This bolts to bottom of antenna. Comes off with two bolts.
c) the outside nut and rubber mount from outside the car (the piece the antenna goes through. The MY 99/00 mounts the antenna at a different angle inside the trunk and the rubble outside mount is shaped differently than on the MY 98

This has to be the most useless piece of information on the web
