When I turn the key to position II they all light up
the fuel pump hums for a second or so
then most of them go out after 5 sec, that seemed like normal, same it did before
except the ones named
2000 S70 radiator core support replacement need help.

I say that: a hum for one second or so, I assume is fuel pump,
with more research I realize maybe the fuel pump is near the tank in rear, the hum under the hood maybe not the fuel pump
then most of the dash lights go out after 5 sec, that seemed like normal, same it did before
except the ones named stay on
Not installed or plugged in
headlights
turn indicators
radiator with coolant
engine cooling fan
headlight wipers

So...injectors and ETM are not powered.
Abscate...where is main fuel injection relay located on '99+ cars?

The parts car I have here has been off the road for two years
I pushed the pin on the schrader valve in the end of the fuel rail in that one, it had a stronger pulse of fuel than the car I'm working on , which has been off the road 2 months
Robert spinner has a video showing fuel injection relay location in the fuse compartment alongside the cabin fuses under the hood immediately in front of driver
will swap the no start car relay with the parts car fuel injection relay, correct?

Cars with FPR on fuel rail will always have stronger squirt of fuel at schrader valve because it is bigger and have larger capacity chamber.
Cars with fuel pressure damper at fuel rail and FPR somewhere else(fuel filter or steering rack area) will have weaker squirt on schrader valve.
FPR on fuel rail is constantly vacuum operated and controlled while "remote" FPR is controlled via evap system vacuum and have constant 43.5 psi all the time(M4.4 management cars).

The parts car here is close to the exact same, it is R, mine is XC
I would not have attempted this otherwise .... Volvos are more complicated than what I'm used to , I could not have done it. Period. And for that matter its not "done" yet. Last night I had a nightmare about VIDA dice

BINGO
Fuel pressure.... its gusher. Plugged in fuel relay from spare car, no pressure.
Made a jumper per Robert Spinner video ... pump runs continuous and pressure now present in the fuel rail.
Should I try to start it briefly.??
Look for spark at plugs??

Its cranking, now that It has fuel pressure, If I find signs it is making spark I consider that good reason to put all the radiator pack and support back in and all the rest of it, headlights, hood, bumper...
What else should I do?
crankcase ventilation was verified with new hoses added prior to engine installation 2 years ago
Does it make sense to remove clean the ETM while its easy to get to? Is there a procedure to verify its functioning??

Definitely clean ETM. It’s not an easy read but much easier with radiator out. Reinstall before radiator.
Use throttle body cleaner on clutch, no solvent loose in throttle body. No carb cleaner.
Vida has all the correct wiring, you might find the downloads are 99% correct but miss some subtle stuff that may or may not be relevant
