It’s shipping, good prices, and right now a killer dollar to EU exchange rate

But if it's first shipped to the EU, everyone has to share the 19% VAT, correct?

Skandix does not list the manufacturer. In my experience they carry good/reasonable quality parts and many of them are from oem manufacturers - they do list those as "OEM Quality". (eg the heater core I got from them was a behr)
For my part I trust them to have good parts and don't worry about it any more.

I do check other options, but for volvo specific parts usually there is not much alternative.

As for VAT, if you ship to Europe you are paying the VAT for the country you are shipping to (19% in Germany I think). I would like to offer help shipping to US, but it is too much work for me, sorry. But if you have questions regarding skandix or shipping in europe I can probably answer some.

Abscate, I am holding off ordering anything this round of the group buy. Having done all the work on the 96 850, I was re-attaching (or trying to) some bits of loose trim. Got to the plastic rocker covers and found nothing to re-attach them to! Most of the brackets have rusted off, but at the back there is a rust hole right through the steel fender. I don't think it is terminal, but with a hole above the rear mudflap on the same fender well, I think the owner is getting a little concerned on spending any more money until we get an idea of repair costs on the metal work.

Appreciate you organizing this group buy all the same.

Neil.
