I'll keep the 70s we have right now, thank you! I know it won't last more than a couple days, but I'm going to try to enjoy it while it's here!

Yup, and overnight it was nearer -40C/F!! Today it is getting 'tropical' around -15C and tomorrow up to -6C. Then it drops again next week. This is when I love 2 things. 1) I am retired so don't need to go out often! 2) A heated garage!!

Once I get a shop, heat will absolutely be required. My garage now already gets too cold, and the little heater I use doesn't do much unless I leave the door closed and run it for several hours. I've become a baby about the cold though. I used to like it, but I've come to hate it as I've worked on cars or anything else outside.

I had to drive to work. Nice n slippery, had an inch of freezing rain last week, then half a foot of snow 3 days ago, and a light dusting yesterday. I can easily break all 4 wheels loose on my car at 50km/h.

We are 16F and sunny here in Missoula, straight south. Not too bad really, very still. A few inches of snow last night. Glad I put new snows on last week.

About 12 years ago, my wife took our daughter to a ice hockey tournament she was part of. I believe it was in St. Albert near Edmonton where befarrer lives. That day it was the coldest place on earth! -58C!!!! I got a phone call as the trunk lid on her Audi A4 would not work as it was frozen. Told her to get some WD40 at hardware store and spray it and all was good!

When I can get to my desk top I will post a picture of the heating system we got in the garage thanks to my old neighbour who is a plumber. Includes a free furnace with a spare for parts.

Seriously? That makes me hurt clear to my bones. Those are like Alaska / Arctic Circle temps!
