Valve check last month on my Suzuki DRZ400S. 19,000 miles on it and the intake and exhaust valves all checked tight so had to pull the camshafts to change out the shims under the buckets. A little bit intimidating but was slow and methodical and followed the service manual. Started and ran fine on first try. Most nerve racking was the valve check after torqueing it all down to make sure my shim changes got it all back in spec.

Got rid of the 20 foot run of flex dryer vent (no-no) and put it solid metal vent. Now only have a 4 foot connection to the dryer,

Very pretty ! I remember the Scan furniture stores back in the 60's. I still have a record storage table from there.
But where's the lave lamp ? You've got to have a lava lamp !

Big change in our house.

Retired the natural gas stove and replaced with a beacoup bucks LG induction model.

Had to pull 50 feet of AWG 8 and wire in a 40 amp breaker and outlet into the kitchen , tough on the hands. Folding AWG 8 isn’t fun, especially in a crowded fuse box

First impression using stovetop is it is awesome. It’s so precise. You set the knob to 6 and 45.2 seconds later the water boils

Our Lodge cast iron works with induction, we will have to replace some our pots and FBM the Revere set

I am in process of adding a second dead bolt lock to a storage building out in the country. It has been broken into several times. The new lock is a Schlage brand, 6 pin with extra security features. I will also be adding reinforcement to the door and frame.
A couple lessons were learned in the process of ordering the lock online:
1. Try to confirm all parts will work together before ordering. The lock housing and key insert core where not matched the first time.
2. The key set the second time came 'not pinned up'. This means the key had all notch cuts the maximum width. I had to take the lock to a local locksmith and have pins installed and the keys cut for the pin lengths.

About 7 years ago at my house in Denver I had neighbors over. One of them saw the lock on the back door - Schlage - and said he worked for them years before and it's a very good brand. My lock came with the house, I don't have a clue when it was installed. It's gone now because I'm renting the house now and live in the suburbs, and my tenant wanted the newfangled Wifi/keypad locks on the doors. It was expensive for three doors, but whatever. She's happy, respectful, loves the house, etc. She pays rent a week early every month. That's worth more than the $600 or so for the new locks.

I need to post more to this thread about my landlording adventures.

I'm sorry your barn or building got broken into! Never a good feeling.

I started a new project to replace the wood floor in my trailer. It had treated 2 x 8 boards installed about 30 years ago. A life of setting outside and occasional wet loads caused the top of the boards to weather and crack.
I am replacing with new treated 2 x 8's but will add sealer before I install. New self tapping, Torx, flat head screws will be used again. I will need to move the screw locations a little since I can't reuse the old screw positions. Many of the old screws twisted off during removal.
