Its America - you can buy a car with money collected from turning in cans and bottles, if you drink enough.

Just a few thousand bottles is all you need. Some people around here that can do that in a weekend!

Got my cam sensor swapped out yesterday. Car still hiccups. Time to go bang my head against a wall...

Got the M56H flywheel resurfaced. I love me a nice freshly machined surface...

Nice. Do you lightly oil that after machining to prevent rust?

Or put it in a bag with some desiccant packs (Rice or some damp-rid)
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

Finally spent 15 minutes and reinstalled the passenger under dash panel whose tabs I epoxied back in January.

I wasn't planning on it, it should be on the car in 2 weeks from now, so if any surface rust builds up I should be able to tackle it with some brake clean and a scotch brite at worst.

Slayed the CCM-236 Recirc signal too low today. Removed motor, cleaned the grease out of the electrical potentiometer/varistor contacts, lubed the shaft with disc brake grease and reinstalled. Got the error again. Disassembled and moved the motor exactly one tooth out of position towards the opposite direction. Works great. During initial reassembly everything was in the exact position it didn't work at previously. So if you're stuck, try moving that sucker one tooth clockwise. Position of the shaft doesn't seem to matter provided for the most part it is in the middle of the slide area. Let it go to full recirc (I think it was this position) then install the linkage with it pulled tight. Then reinstall glove box support beam and glovebox. Sit back and enjoy your ability to no longer have to smell the outside or inside.

Used VIDA to determine the ECC's perceived motor position. Get a nice clean swipe now.
