Thank you. Rereading what I said, I phrased it poorly. I actually already bought the filter element (Mann cu2650), thinking I'd be replacing one in my car. It turns out, the car doesn't have an existing filter, nor the frame/holder for one. It just has what I'd call an air-horn where the filter goes. I found a used filter holder on ebay, and have it ordered.

This will be my first vehicle with a cabin air filter. I like the idea, as I drive through construction a lot.

Got my new license plate today!

I only had a paper temporary "plate" that was supposed to be displayed in the back window, but I decided to keep it on my front passenger seat instead, for not wanting to put tape on my window. Thankfully, no one bothered me about it.

Yes, I noticed that. Even a 16oz gas station coffee cup is top heavy, since they have so little depth to them. I've only been able to use the cup holder to set the coffee down while parked.
My daughter broke the original cup holder from trying to squeeze larger beverages into it. I purchased this replacement and it actually allows for larger cups since it uses opened circles and flexes a little more.

Was very easy to take apart the armrest and swap them out.

Diameter isn't really the issue, for me. It's depth. Does this holder allow the cup to sit any lower?

Edit: Maybe I'll just order it.... the original is terrible.

The one on eBay is an improvement for the diameter of the cups but not much for the height. It is better than the original.

I didn't realize until today, that a 20oz water bottle won't fit in the factory cup holder.

So somewhere I mentioned that the shift into 2nd gear seems a little harsh...tonight, I realized I was in Sport Mode. I knew that switch was there, but I think maybe sometimes I'm hitting that switch when fumbling for the heated seat switch.

thankfully i don't have to worry about cupholder depth as it would appear the previous owner's poor maintenance has allowed for the bottom part of the cupholder to simply not be there. good stuff.

I bought that cupholder fix too, but the first one was a bit wonky. They sent a replacement the same day I emailed them, and the second one went in and slides fine. I don't drink coffee, but I do have an iced tea problem, and found early on that the plastic 32 ounce fast food go cups fit mine, and stay put as long as I don't get too frisky with the ice. I only had to buy the big cup once, they hold up pretty good as long as I'm careful putting the lids back on.
I don't think the Swedes had 'Murican style travel mugs in mind when they finally, reluctantly, started putting cupholders in the cars.
Alex is an interesting character, and Swedish Car Parts just got in some leather seat skins for 850 Rs. Robert Spinner spends a good bit of time there when he's in Chicago.
