I do this odd thing where I look over my shoulder when I back up. Might be just a quirk.

Two of what, the mirrors or the cameras?

I'll post this again. This sometimes gets tiresome writing stuff , posting it an then finding it has disappeared:

Attached below is the rear-view camera. I noticed it has been bent somehow based on this picture, although I don't recall it looking like that earlier when I took the photo:

Hope this helps as a guide. I find it works well, but obviously depends on what you are wanting.

You can also look at aftermarket proximity sensors like on later Volvos.

Oh ok ha ha. I thought it might help backing into the driveway.
I’ve been driving a Volvo long before anyone ever paid me to drive one.
That's probably because I've been driving one since 2015 and nobody has offered to pay me yet.

Hi Neil,

Yes that does help it looks like you get a pretty good view of what is behind the car, that's the most important, and of course if it helps you park when backing up that's exactly what i had hoped for. Thanks for the pic.

I find it works well for me as does my wife. Once you learn to 'calibrate' the colored lines to the distance from the back of your car, then you can park it close. When our son is home his car is parked behind mine in our garage. I can now park my car at about 2" from his bumper repeatedly. I now also have to negotiate my newly installed hoist backing in from bright sunlight to the darker garage and the camera really helps to line the car up between the posts.
