You don't hear much good about those 440s. Perhaps it's good that the 400 series never came to the states lol.
Now rust after just a year on the 340? That's awful!

Got an 323 transmission error code which i reset with VOLFCR. Drain and fill seemed to fix it again and once again i had low fluid. I did not check after doing the last drain and fill and may have burned the fluid. Saw on a 960 forum that a bad PNP can result in a 3rd gear incorrect ratio code and my PNP is defective in the sense that my reverse lights do not work.

My partner in crime purchased a high mileage 08 RDX for cheap. Did the transmission range switch (PNP for us folk) and plan on doing some bondo on some body rust. Only one area of concern was the passenger bottom rear fender which crumpled a bit. I cut out all the old rust and put on some Formula 3000 anti corrosion to slow the plague. Car runs like a nut though, interior 10/10, exterior 9/10 with the little amount of rust, 300 k km. Plan is to keep that car running for 5-6 years at most. It gave me an appreciation for how little rust is on my wagon which is approaching 400 k km and has just reached 390 k km on original motor and transmission.

Will keep updated on the transmission condition.

That is a nice looking car. The seats are in superb condition for the age. Shame about the center console cover.

I like the NA SE spec. I still regret selling my 00 V70 SE NA. That was a sweet running car and still is.

Thanks for your input Neil. Gives me more confidence putting money into it. Am planning on and hoping to keeping it going as long as the body remains accident free.

The driver's seat has a little wear but the rest looks brand new for sure. Recently replace the armrest leather on an 05 GS430 acquired for my Son. Looks OE so hope to be able to do the same for this.

Missed the silver (is that 426 also) 98 S70 T5. The 98 and 03 S80 T6 were such great comfortable and stable at speed cruisers. Driver's ED coming up again so made the excuse to prepare a car early ...

The weather momentarily cooperated ( I can't spend much time outside when it's wicked hot - you don't want to know why ), and the Redheaded Problem Child is back on its hands and feet and got its first wash.
