I'm back from the dead! Unfortunately my S70 has entered purgatory. Was driving up a steep hill this past Friday when a bad vibration started. I thought it was a tire coming apart. But then the CEL started blinking "oh no". Pulled over and to my dismay she was missing, "great a burnt valve" I thought. But when I opened the door, I heard it. That unmistakable sound no enthusiast ever wants to hear. Something in the engine was clunking away and my heart sank lower than I thought possible. She's been towed to neutral ground for the time being while I figure out what to do.

On the bright side, there was a guy selling a well used V70 T5M not to far away from the breakdown. So of course I bought it against my better judgement. Need to get around somehow. Just started a restoration topic.

Feels good to be back. I do wish the circumstances were slightly different. But regardless, Hello everyone!

After cleaning up the back yard I pushed the 850 out of the garage, it's the first time since last October that it has moved. I never started the engine and won't be until the end of March when I take it for an MOT. Can't believe that it's over 26 years old not and still looks as good as the day it left Ghent. Paint is all original
