I then I put new Hella "50% brighter" bulbs in the S70, as the lights are terrible due to aiming after the frontend was smashed by the previous owner. Hopefully they'll be a little bit better. I looked at each bulb I removed. One was an Osram made in Germany and the other was a Philips made in Poland.

The internal connectors were different. One side had a plastic housing for the wires that pulled off, the other side had individual metal spade connectors that needed a locking tab pushed.... and the wire insulation was cracking and missing, which I think I've read is typical.
Just wrestled with that on the Rescue R,

FCP has individual pigtails, but it's a little fiddly, you have to deal with the tiny spade connectors on the feed plug that connects to the harness.

I have to say, good on Volvo for making it easy to change these harnesses. Many BMWs, for example, are not nearly this easy to repair headlight harnesses on. And they all suffer the same issue of wiring insulation being baked off.

That's ripped up a bit on my 99. It doesn't really have a functional catch or lip anymore, that my 96 does. I've never seen that before until my Volvos. I guess it's to keep gas off the paint.

Did the headgasket treatment again, stopped small amount of bubbles coming out of the coolant overflow tube. Put the correct coolant back in this time and will monitor progress in the deisgnated intervals.

Fixed my foglights and cleaned the wagon. For my partner i changed an alternator which took under 45 minutes. Was such a treat compared to having to remove the power steering pump, associated pulley assembly and then reassembling it.

I spent the last 1hr 45min disassembling the interior of the parts car. Do I need to keep the front ashtray? No. Am I going to? Yes. Why? Because of the novelty-ish feeling. Watch out for an update here and then on my Classifieds post. Going to be good!

This is the same for all those years? The P2's? My rubber neck is flopping loose on refills, I think the wire has sprung!
