If you can, please post pictures of the failing seals in my caliper failure thread. I'm always curious about caliper failures and how to prevent them. Rebuilt calipers are far and away the weakest link in every P80 I've owned.
Interesting. Now I’m wondering whether i should try replacing the seals myself or looking for rebuilt calipers. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I’ll definitely send pictures when I get back in there.

… And on the same note, does anyone in the area have a 93-98 p80 they're thinking of parting with that we could buy?
I sent a PM.

My brother forwarded this photo from his buddy in Germany. Not a bad looking SUV. 😂

I'm trying to figure out what's up with this since I see what looks like a front diff, if it's actually 4wd with a transfer case using the Volvo engine or if it's just a v70 body on a truck frame and there's a longitudinal engine under there.
No matter what, I really want one.

Definitely some type of truck frame under there.

It’s the rare Volvo XC80

I managed to fight the down pipe off Shagg. Head is in the machine shop. I found most of the gaskets I need for the engine job.

Three of the down pipe nuts needed Dremel and I will replace. Ugly.

Wood fired pizza and Stella Artois to celebrate

Oh that pizza looks fantastic. I've never seen an oven like that.

In regard to caliper seals a few posts back, it's not hard to do. Last fall I had a caliper seize for some not-obvious reason and I disassembled it, cleaned it, and reassembled it easily enough. The only thing I didn't do was to remove the square seal from the bore, but I've done that too, but long ago.

Today was clean bug guts off the windshield day. I sprayed it down with a foaming window cleaner and scrubbed with an expanded nylon pad before drying with a flour "bag" rag. I can still see tiny spots but it's good enough for now.

Gathering up parts for Shagg head. Machine shop turnaround one week after parts come in.

I couldn’t find CRP manifold studs at FCP. Only Volvo at $8 per. $80 for studs seems steep.

Ordered some generics from Amazon, I only had three twist out so I might run with the originals
