Have replace one on the two rear brakes hoses. A pain. As i've moved the fuel tank three times a bit recently, i didn't feel comfortable to warm the 2 last connectors on the second brake hose. I think it was the right thing to do. I'm gonna wait till the FT will be empty, and i will do this work on the second hose. I will replace the fuel filter by the same way.
Anyway, the back of my 850 doesn't fit in my oven, so...
I've bled my brakes.
I have ordered the right lambda socket to replace my lambdas with OEM ones. But i've been looking for 2 sensors, and found only one.
Can someone tell me what is the consequence on the engine when it turns ?

I'm not sure about your car, but on my 1996, I have (had) two O2 sensors; one front, and one rear.
I also had a plug, like in your picture, that was for the SAS system, which I don't have.

Then I tried to replace the reluctor ring on an aftermarket axle. No matter how much heat I gave it, it just wouldn't fit. That's even after I used a wire wheel and a rotary grinder on the mounting surface. When it cooled and got stuck on the axle, I used the inductive heater to try and move it, but heat transferred to the entire CV joint. A little grease squeezed out the boot seams, perhaps from expansion. The CV was still hot for about 30 minutes after that.
Ultimately, I tried tapping the hot reluctor ring on with two little hammers. That caused it to warp. No, I didn't bother claiming the FCP warranty on that since it was my blatant mistake. The aftermarket axle is going in the garbage to be replaced by a used OEM one with a lovely reluctor ring.
How did you get the ring out and to the axle fast enough before it contracted? I used a MiniDuctor inductive heating device on my reluctor ring, then very quickly moved it to the axle and pushed it in place. So satisfying.

hi it helps having the workshop vice close to the kitchen like 50ft or so and the cv is original by the look of it and i did clean well and found a metal tube just the right dia for the rings and between me and tina she held it steady while i knocked the ring on,first took 2 goes and second one go and on good and quick,just a pity it still dont fecking work!FireFox31 wrote: ↑17 Aug 2023, 20:18 Happy 900th page!

the drive to take some of the family back was lovely the car is indeed very happy and pulls like a freight train,i have never driven the turbo version but must be scarey fast as compared to my previous 10 yrs suffering the peugeot 406 1-8 cc this is a ferrari!
though so far looking for 5 or so years here ive not found another manual base wagon broken for spares as they say there too old,worries me that i shall complete revamp just as the vital ingredients are no longer there to fix it again.
true most bits can be found but at what cost? ie i was going to try replace electrical part of ignition switch but new is around £100 here and having both done clutch and engine mounts skinted me right out as well as extra house guests who seem unable to switch anything off,£100 electric in 8 days that could of bought the ignition!
not sure on fuel use but it maybe a little better since doing clutch and fixing leaky vac pipes it is harder to keep to speed limit though!peace

Looks like the 96 850 10V base is coming back for a little more TLC, but this time I am getting my Volvo mechanic buddy to work on it so he can use the hoist to tackle the terminally rusty fuel filter as well as the outer tie-rods.
I have been re-contacted by a guy I helped with a 97 850 GLT about a year ago when it wouldn't run. Got is running with a used fuel pump relay, but don't think he has used it much since. Now he wants it brought back up to safe running order. Again I will inspect it with my mechanic buddy and we can draw up an immediate list and a list to do over time.

I warranty replaced a bmw pvc that can I tried to install with a broomstick,in a rather unproud moment . I came clean on the paperwork described it as user error on install, and they covered it in full.
