We've got a few cases of water and a can of propane. Walmart was nuts yesterday, a bunch of people buying cart loads of water and bread. They don't seem to realize they're not the only ones who this affects. Save some for the people evacuating from the coast! Then the people buying a bunch of milk. If you lose power, how's it going to stay cold? It's still in the 80s.... this isn't a winter storm! I can only imagine the amount of bread and milk that will just go to waste.

Anyway, hopefully this storm will be like the last few hurricanes to head this way and mostly fizzle out by the time it hits us.

My GLT's is unpainted in the middle... then it fades to red... then to black. But mine was in a collision, had to paint the hood.

Got stocked up on water, booze, gas, food and charged my ridiculous horde of laptops to have phone charging sources- may be fleeing the state and headed either north or south, playing it by ear, storm is in a direct path for us.
Hood is not original to my car, but the car it came from was never in an accident either. My hood and this one both looked the same under the insulation.
Hoping to roll the Volvo up the driveway a little bit out of the path of all the dead trees surrounding it and hope for the best. If I still had comprehensive on the thing, I'd be fine with a tree falling on it

I got rid of comprehensive after a rock dented the hood and bounced off the windshield leaving a chip. Insurance company wanted to total it for $350. Didn't realize I was driving a Cavalier all this time.

Took a check for $336, pulled the dent out, and live with the chip now.

This one isnt going to fizzle out - its still building. You should leave Charlotte in the next 24 hours if you have a place to go to. I can't tell you if North or South will be better - although latest trend is for it to drift North.

If it stalls over NC it could bring 24-36 inches of rain - catastrophic

Well, we'll see what happens. It's certainly looking a lot worse than it was.

My cousin was actually planning on going to visit some friends at UNC Wilmington tomorrow. He didn't even know about the storm until yesterday!

Don forget to stake and tie down that Miata - girl cars blow away easily.

That R will stay put - its got the natural aerodynamic safe shape

(gropes for Turtle picture)
