My s/v70 door card replacement inserts came from redlinegoods, so I'll be installing them sometime soon. We'll see how it goes, I don't see much about them online.
Nice! They look like they will probably go on fairly easily. I'm sure it just takes a coat of adhesive and you'll be able to lay it down on the door card.

It's already posted on the BaT Megathread, but just to spread the word a bit farther, there's a No Reserve '98 V70R-M listed, built by...

... and Robert.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1998-volvo-v70-18/
Robert did a Y/T series on the build, but I haven't taken the time to dig it out.

Been driving the 850 for the second day now (since last fall) and am noticing that it rides nicer than the 99 S70. Also the seats feel different/nicer. Took it through the car wash, too. I had to meet up with a guy buying a pair of 454 Chevy heads from me (yay for a few square feet of floor space back!). Then I drove to the next town over, to look at a P2 and P3 XC70.

I got my driver's door card off to find the inner and outer pieces were totally separated, and all the "brackets" which the pins fit into which tend to fall off were already gone, and the card was just held to the door with two screws.

I don't even know what these pieces would be called, or if anyone would have a part number or have some spare they'd be willing to sell. I circled the locations they should be in red.

The curse of the inevitable "previous owner" strikes again.

EDIT: The passenger side still had these pieces, they have part numbers on them but looking them up leads to nothing.

One of the pieces, the one on the left, is side-specific, so I'd need the one for the driver's side.

Unfortunately those clip retainers aren't sold separately, but I'm sure someone on here will have some spares. I would post on the junkyard parts request thread.

Hm, ok, I'll take post 10,000. I happened to check the thread for the first time in months and here it is. Oh, and it's my post 1500. A shockingly low number considering how many decades I've been on the forum. I wasn't really working on my car before about 2016 so that explains a little.

What did I do to someone else's Volvo today? I opened the door of a 1993 245 which has been disused in a garage for years. The mouse pee smell of ammonia trapped inside was thick enough to cut with a knife. And yes, I am interested in restoring that car. Some day.

About the door cards: What's a good glue to reattach those missing blocks to the cards? Nothing biodegradable (which I've heard is why they fell off). It's convenient that they fell off making card removal easy, but I'd like to do a long term reinstallation, preferably that could withstand the force required to remove the clips.
