I have the dreaded blinking lights.
I have tested two Climate Control Sensors - both spin.
I have tested three ECC units and they all seem to work.
I am taking the car to Eurofix for a scan Wednesday,
When does the system need recalibration?
I ask this because I have disconnected and re-connected as I have stated, so in doing this did I put the system into a position that a calibration is necessary?
In other words, what would be the reason for a re-calibration in a general sense?
Thanks as always,
Tommy

Usually only need to calibrate in my experience if:
1) you have moved a servo motor and not clocked it back to where the original was
or
2) you replace the motor and forgot where the motor came out was in it's shaft position
or
3) If you replace a flap or something in the system that is broken and don't know it's correct position.

For most of the servo motors you can figure out which way they work. Most rotate no more than 90 degrees. Don't fit the motor and connect it up to the wiring. It may be easier to mark one flat on the motor shaft so you can easily see it rotate.
Switch the ignition on and move the settings for airflow and sees how the motor rotates and how far either way. If you can then figure out how the flap it attaches to rotates then you can move the motor to where the flap is currently sitting so that it will rotate the flap correctly when in operation.
If you don't do this you have to then calibrate.
